Safety Lining Concept

Basic Refractory Protection Behind the Working Lining

Safety and permanent linings form a secondary refractory barrier behind the hot-face working lining. They protect the furnace shell, support the lining structure and provide additional protection if the working lining becomes worn or locally damaged.

High-MgO bricks are suitable for basic metallurgical environments because they are compatible with alkaline slags and basic refractory systems.
